To encourage the University accelerate industrialization of research results, UMDF encourages UM professors and students to transform their creative ideas into practice by providing start-up capital, actively enhancing communication and matching between UM and the industry, investors, government and civil organisations, in order to integrate and fortify each of linkages within the industry-academia-research process. It hopes to leverage the power of enterprises and the market to improve the transfer rate and create a thriving ecosystem for innovation and scientific research, so as to support the economic diversification of Macao.
