Recognise Excellence in Teaching 

Since the academic year 2017/2018, the Foundation has supported UM to implement the Academic Award Scheme, Faculty Academic Awards Scheme, and Award for Teaching Incentive Scheme to encourage faculty members to make outstanding contributions in teaching, research and services.

The recipient of UM Teaching Excellence Award is selected through a rigorous process. Selection criteria include: a depth of professional knowledge in the relevant discipline, excellent communication skills and teaching outcomes, outstanding contributions to the development of the discipline, ability to encourage self-driven learning by motivating students to pursue continuous intellectual growth, adoption of innovative teaching methods, and leadership skills in promoting teaching excellence within and outside of UM.
