The SHEAC held a two-week orientation at the beginning of the academic year. The House Association (HA), floor leaders and college staff jointly organized a series of workshops and group activities to help new students making new friends, knowing more about the college and having a glimpse of the university life. As the freshmen arrived at the college, student leaders welcomed them and introduced to them the college life and facilities. The floor leaders also organised a welcome reception and games for ice breaking. In addition, the HA ran a series of activities for new students to experience the culture and cozy atmosphere of the college, developing their sense of belonging and enriching their college life.
