To raise students' fraud awareness, Ma Man Kei and Lo Pak Sam College (MLC) invited Mr Paul Pang, dean of students of UM, to give a talk on phone and internet scams and how to prevent them by identifying their forms and characteristics.

In the opening speech, MLC Master Yang Liu said that fraud awareness is crucial on campus, as frequent scam cases can jeopardise the safety of students' properties and their physical and mental health, as well as undermine the overall campus security. She expressed gratitude to Mr Pang for taking the time to explain and analyse fraudulent techniques to teachers and students, helping them develop a strong fraud awareness. She also urged students to assist in maintaining security in their colleges and on campus.

The College will launch several publicity measures through student leaders to distribute leaflets and display fraud prevention posters, so that more students can realize the dangers of fraud and detect fraudulent acts immediately.

In addition, the college invited Macau Judiciary Police to promote fraud awareness during lunch hours. Through these activities, the police force strives to protect the safety of students and their properties.
