In line with the Chinese central government’s policy, the Macao SAR government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Macao SAR joined the national project for the revitalisation of rural areas, with Xiushui county in Jiangxi province being the major target.  

To support this cause, a delegation from Cheng Yu Tung College (CYTC) and Moon Chun Memorial College (MCMC), formed by CYTC Interim College Master Wong Seng Fat, CYTC Resident Fellow Diane Lu, MCMC Resident Fellow Alice Hong, and three students, participated in a field trip to four primary schools in Xiushui county. The delegation visited Shankou Town Yusheng Jinrong No.2 Primary School, Heshi Town Central Primary School, Zhajin Town No.2 Primary School, and Hangkou Town Shuangjing Primary School. The goal of the trip was to meet with local officials and administrators of the four schools to discuss their problems and how the two residential colleges could assist them in overcoming these challenges in the near future.
